Is it possible to get per-vertex color data from splines yet? This would particularly be helpful in x-particles where trail splines can change color based on certain criteria that would be very difficult to match with w-coordinate

It's not for vertex painting, and using many hair nodes are bottleneck for performance.speltrong wrote:You can change the display color of the spline. Redshift and Arnold can pull that data and you can feed it into the different channels.

Hi @aoctar please are you aware of bug while I use a deformer with xpTrail object which has color stored please? With deformer the Octane does not render stored colors

Hello, I have installed recent version of Octane and I have found out that this bug is still in this version, are you aware of this bug being really bad? Let me know please.
