Hi I thought a year ago otoy advertised opensl shaders. Does it mean in the future we can have procedural textures of concrete, asphalt, rock, wood etc. ? If yes who will be creating them and how can we buy them?
Currently only solutions for wood, rock etc is just bitmaps.

Would be nice for otoy to create procedural textures market place [extra revenue for otoy] where you can buy high quality textures written with opensl.

If they bring these kinds of shaders, I'd love to make a new program that allows to create them with ease

That would be so cool. I would so buy it. Also if you have premade shaders we would also buy them. I thought octane 3 should already support opensl shader. That's what their presentation about octane 3 said in news section on their site.

OpenSL is coming in Octane 3.1, and we couldn't be more excited. We'll have a 3.1 roadmap update in a few weeks time.
