discovered a small naming-bug.
in rendersettings its called 'glossy depth' in octane settings its called 'specular depth'. i guess its the old 'max depth' setting right?
added a screenshot.

Hello, Ahmet.
In one of my projects i have strange problem, that didnt see before.
When i just open file in Cinema, Octane starts to do some job, that i dont understand. And its not a generating material preview. That job slows down whole system, and i have lags in windows gui
Log file in attach.

keep_invironment checkbox doesnt seem to work in octane live viewer settings..
this is a output from mixmateril. Which cannot generate opengl previews. Do you have mix material on these scenes?Kemanjo wrote:Hello, Ahmet.

It is incredibly fast. Excellent!
Just got a strange problem. Sometimes renders extremely slowly.
The same project, the same frame:
4 seconds or 59 seconds. Video starts looking into empty space, so 4 seconds correspond to reality. This is a rendering of the Earth with high resolution textures. The video card uses about 97% of VRAM.
This problem sometimes disappears after some time passing through animation in Live Viewer, then the rendering gets going at full speed.

Nice to hear. Try to use lower vram. It should be reason of slowdowns.Method wrote:It is incredibly fast. Excellent!

Thank you. It's possible, but can not reduce textures. This is the maximum balance that I have reached, I had a nice result.
I use GTX 780 3GB VRAM
