I am getting error messages [attached] whenever I try to launch Octane Standalone or plugin for 3ds max. I have followed all of the guidelines, so far as I can tell, and I have the right hardware software.
Specs below:
Machine: HP Z1, 16GB RAM, 500GB hard disc
OS: Windows 7
GPU: Nvidia Quadro 3000M [CUDA]
Any suggestions?

Try uninstall Quadro driver with reboot required and install with clean option (may reboot) new version of this driver WHQL.

Cuda Toolkit is located on the Nvidia site and you must install it before you install the system on Octane Render

Thanks Amirsaeed Khaki, loading the CUDA toolkit worked. I don't understand why this isn't mentioned in the FAQ's or anywhere else.
For anyone else out there wanting to trial Octane and presently reading this post don't get over exicted by Octane. IMHO, and as a user of Vray, Corona and Lagoa, I find Octane too slow and the interface more complex than I expected and not very intuitive. The UI needs to work for different skill levels eg. Vray has basic, Advanced Expert modes. The website promises so much but in my opinion the product under delivers. But don't take my word for it, try it for yourself.
Happy rendering.
