Octane for Unreal Engine 0.44
Changes:
  • Added Unreal 5 support
    *note: nanite meshes are currently loaded as LOD 0, which can consume a lot of CPU and GPU memory when they are highly detailed
  • UE5: Moved the octane dropdown menu in the UE4 toolbar to the octane top menu.
  • UE5: Moved the big octane button in the UE4 toolbar to the octane top menu. It is now: "load octane"
Fixes:
  • Materials: Component masks on floats now work
  • Materials: Rare texture sample bug has been fixed
  • Materials: Fixed bugs where alpha of a texture was ignored
  • Textures: Fixed rare bug where alpha of a texture was not copied
  • Fixed hard crash when using virtual textures
  • Fixed hard crash that could occur when using engine textures
  • Fixed rare hard crash that could randomly occur during material conversion

Hi, I tried v44 on both 4.26 and 5EA.
In this version it finally doesnt crash when using UDIMs/Virtual textures, but for some reason Octanes sees all the UDIMs wrong and scatters them all around the objects incorrectly. Any idea why? They are correct in normal viewport.

EDIT: Specifically, from additional testing on simple cube, it seems it actually applies only last top right tile #06 to the entire cube, instead starting from bottom left 01 and going up to 06 for each side.

UDIM is not supported atm, which I suspect causes UVs and UDIM textures to not match. Ill see if i can add that functionality.
