Original "Octane Render benchmark 2":
Image

I modified specular from 0.200 to 1.000 and roughness from 0.063 to 0.000 at glossy:
Image

look black sounds be bad running OR demo 1.00. ;) because I can't increase more than 32-depth at PMC kernel but new version will increase from 32- to 64- or 128-depth, ok?

download - look attachments - if you can't extract this file then please download "winrar". ;)

NOTE: sorry for bad english.

The download is just the OBJ file with the geometry.

This happens because the light rays are reflecting on the object, and Octane stops tracing after a set number of reflections. You can increase the maximum depth, but rendering will get very slow. Reflections like this are very rare in most scenes, so you won't see this problem often. The maximum depth of PMC is limited to 32, which is enough for most scenes.

ok. I know and I'm not worried despite slow. ;) Is Fermi card not supported more than 32-depth? Or Octane Render software?

The maximum maxdepth is 2048 with the path tracing kernel.

I have knew 2048-depth at path tracing kernel.

Is Fermi card not supported or does Octane Render software not support more than 32-depth at PMC kernel?

As stated by Roeland the max depth for PMC is 32.
Fermi's are fully supported.

Thanks
Chris.

Why?

Small limits EVERYWHERE - is the one of the most terrible things in octane.

Because Octane renders on the GPU with very high computational power and fairly limited resources. And in any normal scene you never need more than 32 bounces.

That's life. Full of compromises ;)
