New Nvidia update finally works with Octane!

NVIDIA 418.81 driver (Feb. 4th) doesn't work with Octane - please don't update yet! We are working with NVIDIA to fix ASAP. We need to recompile Octane 4/2018.1+ to work with this driver version, and will post an update to this thread once that is done and confirmed working. Thank you!

419 is out as of today. Hope that fixes this. It's breaking my other iray apps

Hmm, the 419.17 update doesn't seem to work for me (1080 Ti and DAZ Studio Plugin). It works when reverting back to 417.71

I didn't see that there is a DAZ Studio plugin update (4.02.1.44), the updated NVIDIA drivers do work with that installed.

I'm experiencing this same error using OctaneRender 4.01.1 Standalone. Today's Nvidia update (419.17) appears to not fix the issue.

Hi everyone,

Just letting you all know that the latest driver 419.17 fixes the issue with Octane that the series 418 used to have.

Please make sure your plugin or standalone is using the following versions of the Octane core:

- Stable 4.02 or newer (there will also be a new v3 release soon)
- Experimental 2018.1 RC2 or newer.

417 work fine then I update to 418 fail. waited 7 days ... gave up re install 417 took forever . octane work fine....
updated to 419.17

You have OR v4.01.1 but @Mojave said minimum v4.02 or newer version only... loool
