Have you guys downloaded the updated version from today? The links on the first page were updated with a patched version.

If yes, then describe the situations when it crashes. Just saying it's crashing is not very helpful.

i've also a lot of crash in opening 257's scenes but no problems with old ones, probably is related to the new light sampling system

Matej You're right, but if I did not give specific feedback, it's because I can not find out the origin of the problem.
And yes, I downloaded the new upldate.
Octane crashes without any logical sense. Not a problem on a specific material / node or parameter, since it crashes if I change the opacity for example, if I change any node, if I change a value of environment, if I copy a node, if I import a node if I change random value in the kernel ..
I have also tried to reload the scene without export from XSI, but it is always the same.
Same question with new or old scene.
I hope to be helped.

^ That sounds very strange.

Just for the record; I've been working with it today for about two hours, but experienced no problems at all. It feels stable like 257.

Maybe I understood what is the problem, I hope. I was reminded just now .. I Using the toolkit 4.2 of CUDA. It is the only reason, I can't see other solutions. Tomorrow I'll try to reinstall it.

But if i start C4D and use the exporter, octane start render. I´m confused. :o

By the way, this release is an living sign of octane, but in my opinion it is better on the final version of the standalone to work as a plugin solutions to all.
Can you start the render by right-clicking the mesh node and selecting "Render"? If so you have disabled automatic previewing of mesh nodes. Otherwise, is it a problem with all the OBJ files you try to load?

Hi Roeland,

Thanks for the new release. I'm just posting the bugs as I find them.

Very tiny bug, the tool tip on the subsampling icons is the same on the 4x4 icon as the 2x2 icon.
