It's a core feature and belong to 2020.x series. You get small and critical fixes from core and big updates from plugin side I'm adding to 2020.1 like multithreading for material creations

Same with me Ahmet. wanted to try on my current project that features animated c4d noises (work in this release YES!!!) but i have lots of glass and transparency in general so that's a BIG NO NO. all comes pitch black.

materials are much much faster, absolutely lovely.

How soon can we expect that 2019.1.5-R2 ?

love.
Are you using the direct lighting kernel diffuse gi with fake shadow on the glass enabled? Also thanks!
Hi again Ahmet!
Yes, exactly.
We're using DL diffuse GI with fake shadow enabled.
Any tip?

Thanks a lot!

PS: new material conversion works like a charm!!!
Abstrax said that there was a bug in 2019.1.4 and fixed now

Thanks for replying, Ahmet.

But seems to be still not fixed.

I compared several simialr scenes and glasses are always darker, with light not apssing through in same way.

Unfortunately for this workflow we are forced to use DL... :(

I hope it can be fixed

Thanks!

PS: I'm attaching a quick example to show you what I mean.

Posting a reply to compliment the test i did in the 2020 release ( viewtopic.php?f=85&t=73352&p=374861#p374861 (RTX shaved a whole minute off the render ! ))

Great speedup with the Multicore material conversion

Hello,
there is missing one mode in Render layer section. "Hide from camera" is not in the dropdown list.

edit:
previous releases has it missing as well.

For some reason this version is not showing up anywhere in Cinema 4D when I install it. I updated from 2019.1.3

My Nvidia driver is updated to the current studio version and all updates in C4D are up to date as well.

I have 2 GTX 1070 cards that I use.

Thanks!

Wrong plugin location or version problem with c4d.

It's installed in the same location as the past several versions of Octane. Also, R21 is updated to latest version as well as the Studio drivers.

I went ahead and reverted back to 2019.1.3, installed it in the exact same place that I had 2019.1.5, and it is working again. :?:
