Hi Paride,
yes, if I open my Octane V2-scenes first and let Octane convert the whole scene, then the conversion works. Afterwards I can save the file (which is now Octane V3) and merge objects from the scene into new scenes.
But as I noticed today: the same problem still occurs with opening one of my old material libraries. All materials are rendered white (see picture attached).
Am I the only one with this problem? Can you guys open old material libraries and they are converted correctly? I am a bit desperate...

No you are not alone. It's frustrating that little bugs like this are not being properly checked before being released. I understand that the programmers have a lot of pressure to get things out but many of us actually need octane for paid jobs with real deadlines and stuff like this doesn't help.
On my scenes I get the same situation where if I open a v2 file the conversion happens but when I merge a v2 file materials come out blank. Also "RGB image" maps convert fine but not "greyscale image" ones.
Hope this helps to fix it.
Cheers

Hi guys
I checked the issue you reported but I have not encountered problems, obviously using the converter tool;
everything seems to work well, except v2 .mat libraries.
I'm testing next 4.31_3.06 right now, so I can not tell if this is because I've not issue with V2 scene.
So, if you could be kind to share a test scene where you have the issue, I will test it.
Thanks
Paride

Hi guys,
I was wrong, the V2 .mat have no issue, the converter works fine (obviously using the converter tool..)
as already mentioned, I'm testing next 4.31_3.06 right now, so I can not tell if this is because I've not issue with V2 scene.

Hi, might be off topic but I've recently purchased octane for 3dsmax, could anyone tell me how I could convert all materials to octane?
I'm also slightly new to max, currently teaching myself.
