How i can make a sss material in octane? Is this feature already available?

Thank you for the help. But these threads doesn't help me. I tried to reproduce what roeland did here: http://refractivesoftware.com/forum/vie ... scattering

If i add a Float Texture it doesn't connect with the material which i want to be a sss material. Also the render doesn't rerender the picture if i change something in the absorption options. Maybe a explanation will help here.

Try to use pathtracing with 6 or 7 depth.
Directlight also works, but you must, so much i can remember me, change the depth and the GIMode to diffuse.

You need to take a close look at the screenshots for a diffuse material in http://refractivesoftware.com/forum/vie ... =21&t=9380. Make sure you connect a node to the transmission node pin (the second from the left). The color should be similar to the reflection input, but as bright as possible. If no node is connected to the transmission input the medium node has no effect and the rendering will indeed not restart if you edit it.
