Can anyone tell me why this file crashes when I export a still image or animation of it to Octane 2.57, i'm using the latest TIG exporter 1024-09 but i'm always getting this message; node "summersolstice.obj" is no mesh
Yes I already tried the Sketchup fix problems and purge commands as well as all the option on TIG's Fix reverse faces plugin. There are nospecial charaters in the file path either. I know the program works because I can export other models but not this one.
Thank you in advance, cause I'm sure you Guru's know what's wrong.
Sketchup exporter not working on this file?

Can't explain why but exploding your various groups managed to solve this problem.
Octane exporter does not now crash.Something in one of your sets of grouping was causing the crash. It happened to me as well ,when i tried it initally.
I'd just use the attachment to do you render with as it's probably buggered up (a technical term used by us octaneers
) your grouping arrangements along with your hidden layers.
You may have to isolate, ungroup and regroup your various objects in your original model to isolate the offending object.

Hi and Thanks, I managed to find the problem Group entity, it was the 2 small roof knee braces that support the small roof located at the garage side man door. The roof was a Group that contained 2 the knee braces which were sub-group as well.
Do you thing TIG the developer should be advised there is an issue with multiple groups containing sub-groups? I would not know how to do that.

I'm not sure if the crash was instigated by the exporter or was a bug in Sketchup , or just a clash between the two.

I need to correct what I said before, I can render a still frame but i'm still unable to render the solar animation, start scene is "summer solstice start", and the end scene is "summer soltice end"?
Were you able to do this?
