A 580 is just a single processor. It uses the whole 3GB. It is only the 590 which is effectively 2 x 580s which split the memory.

steveps3, the standard bench is set to direct light iirc, you have to change to pathtracing to get real results.

Surely the "standard" should be as it comes out of the box. When I change to pathtracing I get about 4.5Ms/sec.

i'd say you should see something between 5.5 and 6ms/sec - depending on the clocks of your cards...
