I'd say perfect imperfection.

the thing is, that in "real" life you can get away with some things you can't in archviz, you can create an out of scale chair and call it art http://www.flickr.com/photos/habitual/3 ... hotostream to try to create some wonder on the spectator, yet if you put that chair in the middle of a render everyone will call out it's scale. In archviz you have to out-do the reality and add more grim and dust that necesary just to fool the brain in believeing that what you see is real, in real life you try to unsettle the viewer with imposible cantilivers, out of scale objects and such...

Hi Kubo,
I think that there is only one rule applied to both worlds, cgi and reality, especially when today some renders hardly can't be differentiated from photography.
There are many cg artist who use the effect of 'crazy' proportions and scale to marvel the user.
A problem only occures when it is not a clear position. Lets say you just scale something a little bit bigger or smaller. Then the viewers eye will just be irritated and don't understand the 'joke'.

Maybe there is a deep artistic opinion behind like "People spend time and money in decorating their house but forget about the essentials of life like food and love."
If lets say this is the statement then I would scale the bowls even much bigger and call it brilliant.
I only try to help with ideas.
Ther rendering and especially the texturing is top notch. Don't get me wrong.
Thank you for the discussion.

totally agree with you on both points, it's an awesome render, and for things to be "intentional" have to clearly be, either totally out of place, or way over scaled. The in-betweens create confusion. The thing is most people won't quite spot it, they might be unsettled but just don't know why, and the profesionals should be there to pinpoint what's lacking in the scene to make it perfect. At least in real life. Not an easy job btw.
Thankfully CG let's us try different ideas before are built and help a lot on the decision-making process. And when they are as good as this one, is almost as being there.
