Hey face,

got it working! I exported all the geometry as a model in xsi and loaded it into a new clear xsi scene only with the scene material and then exported it to octane. Tomorrow i will try to set the materials new. Maybe i can find the failure.

But anyway thanks for your help.

The size is not perfect implemented.
To match it better, it would be usefull if the instance shape has a size of 1x1x1 unit.
To match the orientation, rotate it.
In the next official version, it should match better.

If you have a scene that reproduces the above (multi-GPU) problem in beta 2.44, I would really like to have a look at it, because that should actually never happen. Maybe then send me/us a PM or email with that scene (including the OBJ/MTL files).

Thanks,
Marcus

Thanks Face, I'll look out for that update.

Is there any chance of having an "OBJ sequence" feature also. I realize that the Octane exporter makes one OBJ for the current frame its rendering, but is it possible to have one for every frame, without overwriting the previous OBJ? I mean to have this as a clickable option, for those who want to use the exporter for other things besides Octane.

Congratulations on a great version of Octane. This is the first version which I can actually get something done with it using XSI. A step in the right direction for sure.

Now I might have to buy one of those new GTX590 cards.

Hey Face, will the light emissions always make little white speckles, or is there a way to tone it down(in addition to the hotpixel removal)?

Hm, that version is 6 month old...

The light generation have nothing to do with the firefly pixels.
Try to reduce the use of glossy materials. That can fix some of the firefly problems.

Oh, I was talking about the version of Octane, not the plugin. But the plugin is good too.
