The best I can do is to make this an option, same as for specularity compensation in v0.80, but you should consider bribing me :-)

Why not just set the intensity to 1 within blender? What is the point of the exporter compensating for your laziness?
(HW) Intel i7 2600k, 16GB DDR3, MSI 560GTX ti (2GB) x 3
(SW) Octane (1.50) Blender (2.70) (exporter 2.02)

Have you ever had to set up again 100 materials for second time? imagine clicking in each and single one just to set up the intensity to 1, in my opinion is a big waste of time. Yoyoz a compensation option would be awesome.

You are not saying that you export from blender to octane and do not have to adjust any of the materials?

I imagine it would take about 5 minutes to adjust all 100 materials.

yoyoz:

Does the plugin work with directories that have spaces in them?

That's Octane not working with directories having space when given in command line. The plugin just prevents the user from sending something wrong to Octane.

Thanks for the reply.

Just to clarify:

My understanding is that the plugin will take a .blend file and then create an .ocs file from it. Can you put the .ocs file in a directory that contains spaces (e.g., c:\data files\octane\)?

At this point, I don't create animations, so I don't need the plugin to start up Octane. I am just looking to transfer the mesh, along with the camera position/information.
