Thank you, I think it is now "Grayscale color."

You're quite right.
Some other nodes changed their names too. rgb spectrum, octane gradient....
Yes, from a long time there were some nodes mistakenly named, and differently from Standalone or other plugins.
Float texture is a good example, it is named Grayscale texture in Standalone or other plugins, to be not confused with Float value node.
The same is for Octane Gradient, that means nothing, it must be called Gradient Map like in Standalone, because you can apply a gradient on an input texture, similar to C4D Colorizer node, not to C4D Gradient, we have the Gradient generator node for that.
Happy GPU rendering!
ciao,
Beppe

I think there are some issues with the new version of Shader Color, as some unknown changes occur after converting the color space/modifying the view transform (project).

Hi everyone!
I'm facing a weird behavior, that would be great if any of you can tell me how to solve it.
When I increase samples during a render in LV it restarts from scratch (in previous version it was simply increasing time going ahead with what done till that moment) and moreover render becomes darker. If I want to have again same lighting I need to resend to LV.
This happens even with any of other settings in kernel settings.
Any idea?
Thanks in advance!
Cheers

Maybe recording a video from your screen as you replicate those issues would help team or other members understand it.shine71 wrote: Tue Mar 03, 2026 12:40 pm Hi everyone!

I actually hadn't noticed that it also starts re-rendering on sample increase before reading your post though.
Apparently a known bug being looked at, hopefully being prioritized.
