Hi. I bought the new M4 mbp and I'm pretty happy with it for Octane.
I have a project that never crashes, very smooth and fast. But I have this other project where I use a few textures, sometimes 8K, and it crashes constantly.
If I touch anything in the texture node editor, it's almost a crash guaranty.
Here is the crash report, please let me know if you find something that could provide an explanation.

I need to check your scene.
Please, write to help at otoy dot com asking for Beppe.

Thoughtful of you for sharing.bloomis2 wrote:If it helps anyone, Beppe found it was the skin object in my scene. Work around: bake as alembic.
As a near mandatory rule-of-thumb with third party renderers (by nature): baking everything to an export file format (Alembic or USD preferably), at the exception of a few such as sub division "modifier", as this is handled by the renderer at render-time.
I installed Octane X on my iPad but when I open it, it says unsupported GPU found. I have an 8th gen iPad with the A12 chip in it. The page on the app store says Octane is supposed to be compatible with the A12 Bionic chip. What is going on?
iPadOS 18.3.1 / iPad 8th Generation / Apple A12 Bionic
