And don't forget to check the "render as hair" box in the Octane Object tag.

I've been using OCtane for years! I've never heard of hair requiring an Octane Object tag
OCtane 2023.1 Beta3 → Cinema 4D 2024
In C4D 2024, the Hair system is changed, and currently it is not visible in Live View, but it is working in Picture Viewer:

ciao,

That cannot be possible right? You mean it will be supported by octane soon?bepeg4d wrote:In C4D 2024, the Hair system is changed, and currently it is not visible in Live View, but it is working in Picture Viewer:ciao,

Be calm please, this is first working build for 2024 after work of weeks and we still collecting the feedbacks!thanulee wrote:That cannot be possible right? We found that hair is structured different against to previous builds of C4D. Now it works like fixed but we designed the plugin to work with old strange way, I'm fixing the problems after the feedbacks.
EDIT:
Here is the fixed build for hair object problem. Link has been updated.

Light mix doesn't seem to work in this latest version?
I can see the light passes in the live viewer, but after rendering I only get the output pass and no light passes.
I use Cinema 2024 and latest octane from a couple post above.
Edit: My bad, just have to manually add the light passes in the render AOV manager, I could swear that clicking apply on the Light Mix Node preset in AOV group used to work lol.
