That's right, there seems to be some update missing in some case.
While assigning the multi-texture to new objects, the current steps are:
-click Refresh objects, and use the 'Fix' buttons to add and setup the octane modifier.
-Then, when choosing 'Material ID' attribute on the objects (context menu),
a viewport update is missing..
So you currently need to press the 'Update render geometry' button in Octane viewport..
That should be enough, there should be no need to save and reload the scene..
You could also try the 'Rebuild scene' button, or close and re-open the Octane viewport..
The workflow should be improved in the next release.
