this is odd, I'm getting better results from emissive renders when enabling render region:

This is at 512 samples:

no odd, it's not producing or re-rendering the parts. Never stops at max-samples if you could notify. It's just for working on small areas with less time.

Ah I see.
Is there a way to improve this emitted light without rendering at thousands of samples?
I think I asked similar question here: viewtopic.php?f=30&t=78740&p=406766#p406766

I've tried adaptive sampling and denoiser, but I am on Octane PR11, so I think it's not working for that version

Hi, in this following link, there are some tips and recommendations that could help: https://www.elsksa.me/scientia/cgi-offl ... r-settings

Thanks Elska, I read that and I also tried your tips from this thread where you suggested using a GaussianSpectrum. I still cannot get a acceptable render from 512 samples:
Noise from emitted light
Noise from emitted light
I attached my files in case you want to have a look

I can get round this using 10,000 samples and adaptive sampling. 42 seconds:
Adaptive sampling. 10,000 samples
Adaptive sampling. 10,000 samples

Surely there is a better way? Unfortunately I don't have the luxury of the denoiser
