I don't think this scene is untouched with a newer version. Probably you opened and saved with an intermediate version and storage of texture are mixed.

EDIT: Checked all versions to be sure. 2020.2.3 and 2020.2.4 versions have default for "Non-color data" and you seems like worked with one of these. Other than these vers. there will not be a problem.

Does anyone know when the last Octane Cinema 4d R20 Plugin Release was stable/working with an older version of X Particles Release 4.0.0642 ?
I keep stepping backwards on releases and can't get any of them to generate a particle using the octane object tag and particle rendering. Sphere now says Geometry however, none of the geometry works.

@NC17z
if I remember well, it should be 2020.1.5-R4.

@Sunshine_wuyu
Please share some screenshots, everything is working as expected here with Sunlight color:

I have found the problem. The sun is seriously reddish. It never had this problem before. Now the sun is very red. No matter how you adjust it, it is seriously reddish. The white light cannot be adjusted. The real sun is not always reddish. I have already returned to 2020.1.5-R3 and will not upgrade for the time being

Hi,
in 2021.1 there is a new White Light Spectrum menu in the Kernel panel, and by default is set to D65.
You need to switch to Legacy/Flat to have the same result as before:

Only asking out of intrigue, why was this changed? All productions ive been on since this addition switch it back to legacy /flat straight away as its far superior in appearance. What is D65 bringing to the table (other than making things way too warm :P :P )

Is there a way to default it back, or can this be implemented?

(Not meaning to criticize, just reading about D65 now. But it just doesn't seem to produce a natural result here in octane....)

Hi Ahmet,
with this version the view port is very laggy while rendering. In older versions it was very much smoother to work with.
I use R25. Did I miss some settings to get this to work better?

Thanks for your help

It's smooth as older versions. Probably you have something in settings or OS that causes this. First check GPU priority on Octane settings.
