May not be related...but have you tried updating to S24.111? Maybe the C4D v.24 program install is missing something on your system?

Does anyone run into this situation?
After working with the Liveview window and closing it, C4D stops working and closes after showing an error message.
Not exclusive to the latest version but possibly since v2018 or so, happens in several C4D versions too.

Could you please give some detailed information with proper data. So I can try to reproduce it! That's the way how we can solve the issues. Thanks!Kalua wrote:Thanks for the build, Aoktar! It works really well!
I am having issues, though, with the C4D take system: I don't think it is specifically related to the last Octane build: Sometimes changing one simple parameter from any element makes C4D crash - e.g. changing emissor's power.
I noticed having lots of takes make the file + Octane more unstable (over 10 crashes per day). Did anyone else notice related Take issues?

Interesting, I already suspected this as well. Could be the explanation for some crashes here as well. I'm also having (well known) issues with the assets inspector when using the take system, but these are not related to Octane. Pity, as this is such a useful feature! C4D R21 here.Kalua wrote:Thanks for the build, Aoktar! It works really well!

Hello Aoktar!
Light manager looks very promising!
I have few mechanical ideas:
- Instead of showing every object inside Include would be better to stick to a default C4D scheme when including any object every other octane tag gets that ID unchecked. By that I mean you already parsed object manager and know which object has Octane Obj Tag so no need to turn so there is no particular need to uncheck every Light ID by default. + would be great if you drop object inside Include/Exclude without any object tag it creates one.
- Exclude is the same + issue with showing anything(But I understand that it's a WIP).
Here is a quick Miro scheme for that.

If needed I can add you as a team to Miro and we can discuss.

Hard to tell specifically when it happens,... I have been testing some things now: I have turned off "use texture cashing" and emptied the "texCache". Turns out C4D+Octane usability has improved a lot.aoktar wrote:Could you please give some detailed information with proper data. So I can try to reproduce it! Yeap... definetly something going on with Take systems and Octane (R21 and R23), both Octane 2021.5 R1 and R2. Scene with "Takes" crashes C4D systematically when I start rendering with Liveview window. After deleting all takes, scene began rendering again nicely.Kalua wrote:Hard to tell specifically when it happens,...
