Hi,

I created a t-shirt, from Marvelous Designer and imported in Cinema 4d.
But I have no idea to create the material:cotton with a silkscreen.
Intention is to create something like this: https://www.innoventerprise.com/wp-cont ... -Cargo.jpg

How should I start with this? Do I have to use Substance Painter and import it in C4d?
Or can I do this with just C4d and the octane plugin?

Thanks,
Tim

Hi,
sincerely, it is a very long time that I don’t use Marvelous, but, if I remember well, the mesh is exported with proper uvs, so you should not have any issue in preparing your materials directly in c4doctane.

Hi Beppe,
I forgot to mention I made the t-shirt in Marvelous, then I exported in Zbrush to add some wrinkles, and then I imported as an fbx in Cinema4d.
Is there any tutorial that show how to prepare these materials in C4d Octane?

Best,
Tim

Hi,
about Zbrush, please, have a look at this document here:
https://docs.otoy.com/StandaloneH_STA/S ... mpMaps.htm

About cloth material in Octane, if your mesh is single side, you can start with a Diffuse with Transmission (mixed with a Glossy), or an Universal with Diffuse Transmission.
If your mesh has thickness, better to start with a Specular, or Universal with Specular Transmission, and Scattering Medium node.
The Sheen parameter in Universal or Glossy materials is very useful for mimic the cloth material behavior.

ciao Beppe
