@protovu In the particles settings you can specify how many particles you want to display in the viewport (to speed things up if you have a huge amount of them). Octane follows those setting as well so it might be affecting your preview image.

						Yeah, it still looks like there isn't as many strands in the viewport as there is in the render.  Look at the number of particles you are generating, there is a viewport setting there too.  At least there was the last time I played around with hair in 2.7x.
