Hi,
I am using Octane on a mac. I know, no ideal but what can You do. I recently am experiencing a lot of crashes and I suspect two things, so that is why I am calling out any Mac users for advice and possible help.
I am using an Imac on High Sierra 10.13.6 a GTX 1080 Ti on a Tb3 external enclosure.
My Nvidia Drivers: Gpu WebDriver is 387.10.10.10.40.105
Cuda: 410.130
Octane plugin is 2019 1.5 R3
The installation guide only shows the Windows option so my first question is: where did You install the Plugin? I installed mine in User/username/Library/Preferences/Maxon/Maxon Cinema 4d R21/plugins. But maybe that is causing the problem?
Also, what is the latest Nvidia Webdriver and Cuda that is stable and safe to use?
Before I continue to investigate my issues further I want to get those two things out of the way.
I hope that someone can help me out here.
Thank You
Piotr

Hi Piotr,
from what you have written, everything seems in order.
Please, go to c4d menu Extensions Console, (Shift+F10), and share a complete screenshot of the panel, thanks.
Please, also share a screenshot like this one: ciao Beppe

So I changed the install directory to the Application folder but the problem persists. After a while of working I get the spinning ball and at the bottom left corner of the C4d Window I can see:" Octane: RESET PROJECT"
Thank You

It's a message what you can see when you send a render or stop render. What's the steps to see that? Did it happen as you start a render?pjano wrote:So I changed the install directory to the Application folder but the problem persists. Also you mention about crashes, how do you know it's crashed? If crashed you should have some bugreport.zip files. Please post here.
Also send "c4doctanelog.txt" then activate all log output flags and try until crash/hang happened and again send "c4doctanelog.txt"

Actually it is not crashing but freezes indefinitely. It happens often when I try to load an image texture.
Thank You

log output doesn't cover much information. Just a few lines. Can you explain what happened when you take this file?pjano wrote:Here it is
