Hi Kalua,
as you can read in the log, you have installed the Studio version, that is limited to max 2x GPUs.
You need to remove it and download and install Enterprise Regular version instead.

Same here: 2 weeks old projects are now useless: rendering shader previews or live view rendering crashes C4D when generating shaders. I went back to older 2019 versions and they crash the same way now (these scenes used to work quite well). I will roll back to 2018... it may be my only hope now.Domenicozzo wrote:Hello Ahmet, I seem to have the same problem as Augdalmo about scenes with big textures in them, it's quite weird, I never experienced this problem before.

Hi Kalua,
are you having CUDA error 2?
Please, open the scene, then go to c4doctane Settings/Others tab, and, at the bottom of the panel, enable all the Log option checkboxes:

Then, load the scene in Live View, then in Picture Viewer, or until crash, and share the c4doctanelog.txt file that you find in c4doctane directory, or in the path specified in Settings/Others panel, thanks.

Check console output or c4doctanelog.txt. Maybe duplicated install of plugin.BadBilly wrote:Both this, and latest stable hangs up on initializing plugins.
Latest update of C4D R20.059. Any ideas?

What is difficult to understand?
The Octane Render Plugin crashes if there is a material in the C4d project file were the path of the Texture image file cannot be loaded or is missing.
I explan this in the post bevore with sample images.
The problem always occurs, this sucks!
Yes! I have the same problem, I have observed also that Octane Texture Manager report is not correct for some files paths but It report it's OK with green check. I observed that the crashes may be due to materials for which Octane indicated the path, but in reality it did not load the textures in the previews even if the reload is done.
The path that causes the crash refers to texture in the "asset" folder which is located in the "tex" folder which is located in the folder where the C4d file is located.
I found that to cause the crash is a material that has 4 textures 7565x8500 pxls, of which three are about 15-18 MB each and one of 2.29 MB, but on Octane Texture Manager it arise to 245 MB each!
I have used this material several times in the past without problems now, however, with the 2019.1.5 version it crashes.
I have to delete it without starting the Octane plugin otherwise if I try to delete it the program crashes.
Please take note that I have opened some fliles that are 6 month older and now it crasches as I try to render, it crashes also as I try to select some material. I am sure the problem is texture. If I delete all texture and then render no crashes occur.

Hi Kalua,
I think you are having issues with Texture Caching.
Please open Standalone, go to menu File/Preferences/Application, and empty the Texture Cache, then disable the option.
Then go to c4doctane settings/Others panel, and disable the Use Texture Caching option.
Alternatively, you could navigate to `C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\OctaneRender\cache\texCache` and empty the folder.
