My biggest complaint over the past year...and I've posted about it before...is that something in the plugin repeatedly changes or resets values under the 'Octane Settings'. Seems to happen when switching tabs or opening/closing settings window. Happens a lot.

Sometimes clicking around in the program will even change kernels. Other times it turns the Response back to SRGB after I've set it (repeatedly) to Linear. And using Presets doesn't really help. Often it won't remember or re-set to the Preset that I have configured.

I can understand bugs happen with CUDA or with changes from Maxon, etc. And I know there is a LOT of complexity in this software and a lot for the devs to dig through. But frankly this issue just seems amateurish.

I think this used to be often back in older versions. Nowadays I see this type of behavior restricted to the denoiser tab every time I reboot C4D.
I also think that the fact that this kind of bug doesn't happen to everyone makes it harder to the developers to track down it's cause and solution.

"use steal" in Render Setting doesn't seem to be taking. I still need to go into the "Network Preferences" and click "Steal" on each individual computer.

Just upgraded one of my V4 licenses to 2018.1 Enterprise.

May be a dumb question...but how do you install the remote render license? Is there a separate installer? Thanks.

**Nevermind figured it out**

If you don't know, you have to have enterprise, then just use the same installer and run client on the remote after installing the program.

Could you please kindly share some video to show how you obtain this issue? I never get this problem. Also select all log options and send c4doctanelog.txt from the session.
