8Eggar8,
The first pic shows you were using 260.61 still. Are you now back to 197.13?
I suggested you should use 258.96 atm which is cuda 3.1.
You need to change nvidia drivers because Octane needs the version of cuda that comes with it.
In your text file I see reference to 32bit are you sure you have the right Octane version for your O/S?

Thanks PR

Yep, I saw that too. I forgot that installing a new driver doesn't always eliminate the previous one. Lazy Me..
I installed the 258.96 but didn't realize til later that the 260.61 was still mounted in the system. I 'Yanked' all Nvidia controllers from my system and started from scratch with the 258.96 and all is well (with my system now). What is not covered by this was the last post where Octane crashes when I want to see the operational stats of each card (shown below - but if I chose 'Ignore' It does not exit out), and the crashes when reopening 'some' of the saved standard test models I have been using throughout the beta's, which have been working fine up to this point. Yep, just tested it now, even after correcting the NVIDIA hiccup.

Good News, though. My system is running smoothly again, which is very important because I use octane on my built system here at work. And can't look like I'm messing with anything else but work for very long around here

Here's the error report (should look similar to the first)
I don't know why it says throughout 'WIN32', because I 'always' install a xp64 bit version when one is offered. And my wowsys32 usually handles the rest pretty well.
I Even installed this one before a 32bit one was offered for this version :)

Wow, what's with the 'FreeImagePlus.dll' being mentioned all the time? what's that?

Weird, a search came up with a discussion in an 'Age of Conan' Forum. They were all freaked out because all their AV programs were flagging it as a Trojan eventhough it turned out to be safe... I guess

Hey everyone, the "FreeImagePlus.dll" has been flagged as a Trojan for some Anti Virus programs. This is a false reading as the file is completely harmless. The file is perfectly safe to remove, however when you run the patcher it will be redownloaded again. They will be removing this file int he next update. Our Tech guys have started a thread here

I think the Octane Crew must be out for a well deserved round of beers :P

Well its good that you have the driver issue sorted.
As far as the 32bit thing I'm not sure whats happening there.
I dont think many people are running Win XP 64 here so you might have found some issue with Octane. I think Refractive are the best ones to answer about that.
They do seem to be at the pub today but hopefully they can give some attention to this for you soon.
Its probably not the issue but does your AV have the .dll quarantined at all? or perhaps its blocked by real time protection?
If you are opening files using .ocs then in some cases they are not compatible with newer Octane versions.

probably a problem with your filenames containing textures or foldername you save it in, try with no spaces and use basic english lettering, sometimes depends on the software you exported it with so use exportes on the site.. and so on.. or it's just one of those random things where everything is messed up

so, hey.. can someone give us an example as to what can be achieved via the new mix material effectively, apart from changing the color of the loaded texture..

Abuha, sorry your issue got lost in the thread.
Most of the help here is from other users who happen to be passing.
It was just overlooked. I realise you are annoyed but shouting at us isnt the best.
Of course we 'care' and try to help other users with their Octane issues.
If you add your hardware details to your forum signature it helps people to help you.
Probably the problem is with the file name as acc24ex says.
There is a self help chart about common problems I compiled that might be useful.

Maybe try pausing the rendering engine before saving. That seems to fix my corrupt osc files.
