Try in AE, it will tell you "Straight" or "Premultiplied" when it can detect an alpha in the file. This will tell you if there is a problem with your settings in octane, PS or AE.
I've tested the save pass from picture and live viewer and can import into PS and AE with no transparency issues.

Sorry for the double post but something that often bothers me is the function of the mouse wheel inside the octane settings window.
When the window is too small to fit all the settings there is a scroll bar on the right, the expected behaviour is that mouse wheel down should function as scrolling to the bottom. Instead the mouse wheel serves multiple functions inside this window, it will operate the scroll bar, while also operating some sort of illogical switching between kernels and tabs (I'm not sure of the pattern) to top off how frustrating this can be, the mouse wheel will also change whatever value is beneath the cursor. Without being able to reset values to default I have often fried my settings just by simply using the mouse wheel in this window like I would in other applications.
If this is how C4D's API behaves for tabs can we change them to buttons or is there some other solution for being able to solve this and having an improved UX?

Hi aoktar, hope you are doing well!tim_grove wrote:Sorry for the double post but something that often bothers me is the function of the mouse wheel inside the octane settings window.

I am having the same issues as tim_grove: I did mess up several times many values in the settingswindow, having just the intention to scroll down a bit. Scrolling via using the mousewheel is a strong, hard to resist habbit
I would never mentioned this myself, but now it is on the table and i don´t want to miss the opportunity to underline that this is a real workflow issue for me too.
In addition to that: Thank you for your great and continiously impressive work!
Have a nice day, Chriz

I know what you guys mean. Unfortunately there are not much thing to do avoid this. It's a C4D behavior to grab mouse actions over gui elements. I don't know any way to disable that..

Thanks for responding!
Somehow i expected an answer like that: Because, if it would be something fixable i would bet that you would have done that long time ago
Happy programming!
Best, Chriz

Does the C4D API allow you to use this sort of button in the UI? These behave differently to tabs and aren't affected by the mouse wheel.aoktar wrote:It's good thanks!Chriz wrote: Hi aoktar, hope you are doing well!
