But i see that the glass is still with dark shadows, or at least the overall look remains the same, even if now it will be noise free much faster.

When do you think we will be able to see transparent shadows for glass?

btw, how about the ability to save without background (with alpha), is this planned or in the working for the next updates?

Looking really good. Excited to see these teasers time to time. I haven't played so much with octane, but it really starts to be very solid product.

is glossy reflection faster in V5 ? this is what kills rendering time actually

It's probably a matter of using path tracing and increasing the max depth for the kernel, we verified this to be working at some point, but I can't check it right now.

It's planned but we can't give a time frame for it.

It's not faster than it was in v4. There may be some room for improvement here, but in the end glossy is a more complex material than diffuse or specular. Haven't noticed that big performance differences when using it though, will keep an eye on it.

Is the the mix node a blendnode for materials?
