Hi,
3.08+ seems to be very unstable for me. I´m working with bigger scenes (8,5G), . A lot of crashes when try open Material Editor, etc. during rendering. In 3.07 everything goes well. I´m using displacement and and normal maps from megascans. I´m posting error log. I have already increased TDR to 60 sec, but not help. W10, 3ds max 2014, 64 GB, GTX 1080 Ti, driver 398.11.

Thank you
Jan

Hi jan kudelasek,
You could try with Nvidia drivers 391.35.
To get an effective Nvidia drivers installed, you could use DDU Nvidia unistaller drivers, the best way to get a clean installation.

yes, I did, before I install 3.08. When I run 3.07 now, everything is ok.
I have some troubles with updates, after instalation, my screen shut down and Pc is not restarted.

Hi Paride,
my mother board is MSI X299 SLI PLUS. I have tried your uninstall workflow, installed driver 388.01 but not helped :/. Are you sure that problem is on my side?

Could you reproduce this issue? Or I can send you my scene. I´m very frustrated, I have to switch back to 3.07.
Thank you

Hi jan kudelasek,
If you want I could test your issue, but this is a well-known issue with update, usually 10 Fall Creators Update, x99, x299 and Cuda drivers.
It does not depend on Octane and also affects other render engines.
This issue is also discussed on the web in many forums, many users are waiting for a solution.
Windows 7 has not issues, very solid and stable.
