Can overclocking GPUs improve render time?

I don't know if overclocking GPUs can reduce render time of Octane...

I'm not an hardware expert, but yes, you can overclock your GPU for getting a better score, but you could also lose in stability, especially in long rendering sessions.
If your GPUs have hybrid or water cooling, you can gain a bit further.

If GPU uses boost core* then you won't lose stability but videocard has controlled to auto-increase or -decrease core speed for prevent stability. ;)

* - "boost core" requires Kepler card or newer cards.
