Hi,
I have some problem with Octane 3.06.2 and C4D R17, the live viewer and the viewport are very slow to update and move, but if I uncheck "check camera" the viewport returns to work fine.
I also have a lot of lag with the Node Editor...
Maybe it's just a problem with my computer? I'm working on iMac i7 4 GHz - OS X Sierra 10.12.5 - 2x GTX 980ti eGPU by Bizonbox
Here you can see the problem:

Any solutions?
Thank you very much
Stefano

I suspect that these problems are generated by the 2 eGPUs connected via thunderbolt. Could it be?
Yes possible. Also try with "synchronisation with geo. updates=ON". But It will cause some glitches on OSX+multiview.stefano-dear wrote:I suspect that these problems are generated by the 2 eGPUs connected via thunderbolt. Could it be?

If I deactivate the "synchronisation with geo. update" the viewport it's a bit more fast!aoktar wrote:Yes possible. Also try with "synchronisation with geo. updates=ON". Now I have seen that if I use Octane Standalone the movements and refresh are very fluid, so it should not be a problem of the eGPU.
It seems more related to the plugin or Cinema 4D.
Does anyone else have this problem?

I do as well. Seems a bit better when the live viewer is undocked, maybe. I've been playing around with Redshift and Cycles 4D and they don't show this issue nearly as much. Setting the priority level to low doesn't seem to help.stefano-dear wrote:Now I have seen that if I use Octane Standalone the movements and refresh are very fluid, so it should not be a problem of the eGPU.
