Since the new feature thread pinned on top is not very responsive so I decided to open a new one for this feature request.
Most of the time I want to use triplanar as a soft version of box projection, but the way it is implemented right now makes it very tiring to work with, I have to set up three or six perspective projections to link to the triplanar node, which is really annoying and time-consuming, is it possible to make it worked as simple as other UV projection methods with extra blending angle setting?
Something that works is not enough, what we need is something that not only works but also easy to work with.
Easier way to use Triplanar as box projection

It sounds like you didn't notice that textures using theFireKDragon wrote: Most of the time I want to use triplanar as a soft version of box projection, but the way it is implemented right now makes it very tiring to work with, I have to set up three or six perspective projections to link to the triplanar node, which is really annoying and time-consuming, is it possible to make it worked as simple as other UV projection methods with extra blending angle setting?

Triplanar projection
should be used with the Triplanar Map
node.Triplanar Map node do all that, extra blending, one texture input can be connected to the 6 entry and works with no further projection setup, post transform of the textures and the blending box at the same time ....
But anyway for an even simpler Box-like setup, here is a group node with only one input for one texture using a triplanar projection and one output to plug to material,
you could just save this node in localDB and use it when needed, also you can find this node in Live DB Texture as I saved it there by mistake haha.

Oh right, the triplanar projection seems to be missing in C4d.waltondt wrote:Is there any way to do this in the c4d plugin? i don't see a triplanar projection type so I'm stuck setting projection on each side
So you would have to ask Aoktar to add it...
