Thought I had my Octane setup stable finally, but seems not.

Don't dare upgrade to test versions or later version. Do you know what the problem is? Should I install test version of Octane for cuda 8?

See scene crashing on picture viewer and bug reports below...Tried about 25 times to render this.

Sorry but hope you don't wanna make me spend all time with estimations? Posting just a bugreport without a detailed information that's mostly not enough. We have some requirements on top. Could you please read this list and post somethings as in heads especially last two?

Sorry I'm struggling for time, I've tried my best to give all information needed.

A. Windows 10 Home
B. 2x GTX 1080 Hybrids
C. 32gb Corsair Vengeance // x4 2133mhz
D. Nvidia driver version 21.21.13.7866
E. OctaneRender Standalone version 2.05.1
F. OctaneRender plugin version 2.05.1
G. Cinema 4D R18.039
H. Render to picture viewer at 1080p gets to frame 2 then crashes with the 'Application error', its second frame everytime. Tried different drive to see if it was a write error or something, still same crash. I've also tried at 720p and still same crash. HOWEVER When I remove the hair it doesn't crash. Hair dynamics were cached also and still same crash.

I. How do I get log if application crash and Cinema closes? I opened window before rendering and it won't let me save before clicking 'OK' on application crash dialogue.

I hope this is enough information? We need to use hair for an upcoming project and really need to know if we are able to pull it off without problems.

Many thanks.

Did you tried on 3.05.3 and 3.06-test4? Have you disabled "Hair Render" option in settings? Please send a scene if still happen after these.

Yes just tried installing latest test version and standalone. I also disabled standard hair in render settings, still get the crash after frame 1.

Would be great if you know whats happening so I've attached the scene file.

Edit: Sorry had to delete hair cache before uploading as it was 1gb, thats the only difference between my file and uploaded one

Ok found the reason see picture. It's not fixable soon. Keep to use it as in notes. And you don't need to put object tag for hairs by default.
