Hi,

When rendering with PMC kernel the render/maya freezes just before it gets to the max samples. This error occurs even in a blank new scene in both Maya 2016 SP6 and Maya 2017 update 3

All the render settings are default, just changed kernel to PMC

This is the error that appears in the output window from maya 2017:

Stack trace:
octane.dll!Octane::RenderResultStatistics::progress

Actually is not support on "adaptive sampling " with PMC this is standalone thing, Use PMC without this options, Maybe Jim should hide this options when you change to PMC.

Hi Jo,

I get the crash when Adaptive Sampling is both on and off. There is no problem rendering before hitting the max samples, if i cancel the render by pressing escape before the max samples is reached it stops as expected, it just hangs when the max samples is reached.

Thanks
Juri

I can confirm the crash is caused by Octane. It also happens in the Standalone. Will be fixed in the next release.

This crash have been fixed in Octane 3.06 test4 core,
so this issue is fixed in Maya since OctaneRender® for Maya® 3.06 (test 4) - 10.12
