Hi,
I just saw a C4d octane render tutorial, and it seems that in C4d you can project texture from a picked camera, and orbit around , the texture still be projected from the picked camera not from view.
In Map parameter, it would be great to have "Camera mapped" and just on the right a button to pick or select a camera.
"Camera mapped" from a specific camera

developers have to look like all implemented in Cinema 4d. probably the best programmer, working on C4d

Hi HHbomb,
I could ask developers could add a button to capture the camera coordinates to use them in projection, like in C4D.
a workaround at this time is to make a baking.
I made a sample file for you:
As you can see, there is a material (name > plane)
In diffuse texture slot, put your texture and set "perspective" and "camera mapped" (see project.jpg)
set a proper Id about object you want to bake (see id-obj.jpg)
create an octane baking camera and set same id
select camera baking and render
save the render and use it in diffuse texture slot for a new material.
apply new material to your object.
select octane standard camera and render.
regards
Paride

thanks for answer Paride. But baking is tedius when you change camera angle, texture,...
If one day we can have a picked camera for each texture, we can use camera map projection to texture environnement from several point of vue.

Hi HHbomb,
I agree; I'll ask developers if we could have a similar feature as in C4D.
