I don't care animation for true caustics but I've rendered few frames per 25 hours to 100 hours (unfortunately only max 256k spp) each 30 minutes or 1 hour and at same scene. ;)

But I'll buy new one GeForce GTX Titan with HBM2 GP100 or HBM3 GV100. :)

Thank you. ;)

But... Good idea!! :)

Formula - from resolution full resolution screen to region of resolution screen:
resolution width / sides * resolution height / sides -> region of resolution width and of height

eg: 2560x1600 (example) for full resolution

2560 / 5 * 1600 / 5 = 512 * 320 -> region of 512x320
2560 / 4 * 1600 / 4 = 640 * 400 -> region of 640x400
2560 / 2 * 1600 / 2 = 1280 * 800 -> region of 1280x800
...

- both "sides" must be EQUAL.
- Result must be EXACT!

Its are for avoid tricky caustics. the result isn't exact and/or number of sides is different to may be tricky cautics. (eg: 2560 / 3 * 1600 / 3 = 853.333 * 533.333; ...)

---> Can you understand well? ;)

Therefore, I'm waiting to improve for multi-region at PMC kernel....... ;)

Excellent news for region picking mode for solve noises/caustics issues at PMC kernel!! OOH, yes! :mrgreen: But still v2.26. ;)

If we detect any noises and/or insufficient caustics after long number of spp (eg: 100k, 256k...) rendered at normal resolution screen (eg: 1920x1080) then we enable to drag region picking mode for reduce noises and for correct insufficient caustics at region of resolution screen (eg: region picked of 400x300 at 1920x1080). :D

Thank you!!! :D
