Hi,
I've tried rendering half precision without multilayer EXR and I get an error "failed to export render passes discrete files".
Is this feature still not working?

2. That the issue is specific to this plugin, and not Octane in general (Try reproducing it in Standalone)

Weird, let me check it. Anyway this feature has an internal change in the Octane API that will be included in the next plugin build, so I'll be sure that the half precision EXR files can be used without problems in the next build.

Hi,
I'm still getting an error, this time whether half precision is selected or not, doesn't make a difference.
I don't see other people posting regarding this issue so it could be only on my end?
(on houdini 15.5.565)

Yes, sorry, I am aware about this problem, that as you say has not been fixed in the latest build.
It has been fixed now for the next build. Meanwhile you can use the multilayer EXR files, but if you need this feature now I can send to you a custom plugin build with this problem fixed.
