Thanks.
Those are interesting results. 1060 has half the cores of 1080, yet it provides 2/3 of its performance. Wonder why? Stock clocks should be kinda the same, so whats up? Is it ROPs? 1060 has 3/4 of 1080...

R9 7950x, 64GB DDR5 6000 MHz, 2x RTX 4090, Samsung 990 Pro 2TB, Kingston KC3000 2TB, Kingston KC3000 1TB, WD Caviar Gold 6TB, Win11 Pro 64bit
GTX 980 Ti SC+@stock clocks is ~1.22x faster than GTX 1080 at PMC kernel especially.
If OTOY can't fix performance issue for GTX 1080 yet then you can buy GTX 980 Ti.

How was the temperature of the 1080 at the end of the benchmarks?

Yeah I get about 132 with one 980Ti. I've seen people post scores from 130 to 180 with the 1080. So no doubt the 980 Ti is great value. 500 CAD sounds really expensive though, used 980 Ti's go for around €300 here.

Yes right. 980ti are about 300€ in UE and 1080 are about 450€.Chrmez wrote:Yeah I get about 132 with one 980Ti. I've seen people post scores from 130 to 180 with the 1080. So no doubt the 980 Ti is great value. 500 CAD sounds really expensive though, used 980 Ti's go for around €300 here.
My 1080 gets about 160 at bench.
and what about 1080ti ?
1080 has less power consumption, and 8Gb. Is +30 mark and +2GB justify the +150€ ?
