True:) heheh. That's why I said it turned out a bit funky:) I finaly got a grip on max2octane plugin so will be posting some nicer trees in the wind soon.
How did you bring the animation into Octane? Sorry, if someone asked this already.

where can we read more about this kind of workflow ? it looks interesting....but very very different to what i am used to. i understand the whole 'node' workflow but cant find anything in the manual. i generally find the terminology confusing - would be great to see a summary somewhere....

Win7 64bit. i7 3930K 4.2Ghz.32GbRam. GTX670(4Gb)+2xGTX580(3Gb) | 3xGTX780(3Gb). 337.88. 1200W. (+ 5 x i7 2600 nodes).

Nice:) It's faster when you use geometry leaves without opacity maps
When instances get supported it will be real joy rendering outdoor scenes with a lot of vegetation.

Did you use the same material settings as the first you posted? I see a lot of color variations wich makes it look very real, how did you do that?

Yes, the settings are pretty much thesame. Just changed some trnasmission color, camera values etc.
Hi guys. I ran quick test mixing diffuse material (with diffuse transmission turned on) and glossy material to get a leaf shader. So here is the result:)
