Hi,

could someone please explain how to render only the shadows of a scene?

I have a simple obj. scene containing a floor and a cube. I want to make the two meshes invisible but keep the shadow of the cube active.
Is that possible?

Thank you
CD

Yes, I´ve studied this tutorial but I´m not able to reproduce the steps.
Its far too complicated for octane beginners.

As mentioned in my first post, I have a scene with only two objects. In the scene example of your link, there are over 20 different nodes..
I have no idea where to find an object layer map or an object layer In..

This is really difficult to understand

After investing some more time, I managed to isolate the shadows in my scene.

This thread can be closed, thank you.

Hi,
great, anyway here are a couple of examples, one with two separated objects and the second with one unique mesh, I hope that they could help other users to figure out better how it works ;)
