How come the animation exposure doesn't match the normal rendering exposure? The animation is way too bright, compare to just rendering an image. I don't know if it is due to the exposure, could be something else causing it to be too bright.
I'm still using the 2.2 (last beta) version. Anyone had this problem?

In the animation tab there are settings to

- choose the environment
- choose the render settings

In many cases I noticed that not the last environment or render setting that was edited is choosen to render the animation.

Example: I used the HDR environment for image rendering. But when I start the animation by default the daylight environment is chosen.

It might very well be that you adjusted the exposure in a different render setting then the one that was selected in the animation tab. This happens especially when scenes are merged and many different environments or render settings are added to the list.
Side note: In the preferences tab is an option that prevents additional environments, render settings or unused materials are added when loading or merging scenes.
You may have to manually select the proper environment or render setting in the animations tab from the pull down menu.

It can help to use the "Rename" button to give the environment or render setting a more distinct name to quickly see if the proper one is selected in the pull down menu in the animation tab.

I tried saving render settings already. I'll see if maybe the environmentsetting has something to do with it.
Thanks!

Is there a way to export the animation to the sandalone?
It is nothing fancy, just a turntable animation with just one object animated/rotating.

You can export an animation to Octane Standalone in the new TEST release at viewtopic.php?f=44&t=51410.

If this is still happening on the latest version, can you post some screenshots of the animation and your settings pls. A sample scene using a cube prop would be helpful too. My best guess is that animations are saving with tonemapping turned off. What filetype are you saving too? png or exr? If exr - there are Linear/Untonemapped options, which will save in a different color space to what you see in the Viewport.

Check the

OcDS: System Tab - Export scene

For now a link to an old post that shows a screen shot with the export settings and some other information:
