[Q] Control texture image sequence frame with XPRESSO?

I am trying to create a simple XPRESSO to assist me with animating the texture used in Octane Shader, pulling frames based on my input rather than just time... but can't get the proper nodes to show up in XPRESSO editor.

I managed to ghetto-rig it using driver/driven relationship - it works during output render, but lags in preview.

Any ideas?

you can simply put animated texture insides octane image texture and it will work.

Hi,
have you tried to change the expression's priority?
Maybe you have some other calculation that is blocking the flow :roll:

Yes, tried that, unfortunately did not help, since only a part of it is an XPRESSO node I can prioritize. As far as I know there's no way to increase the priority of driver/driven relationship... or is there?

I already have animated texture there - what I want to do is to control playback using XPRESSO.

Here's the idea:

I want to be able to control the Movie Start Frame using XPRESSO, but when I add my material to XPRESSO editor, under diffuse only Color, Float and Mix show up as "hookable" attributes.
