Ok then it must be that side effect. Thanksjuanjgon wrote:This is strange. I don't change the latest fix in this this build, but I have changed some display code to fix other issue with the 11.6 build that perhaps has a side effect with the flickering fix. I will test all again next weekatnreg wrote:But the previous latest fix you made for Win8 worked fine for my friend with Hub and Win8.1 and LW2015.2. Can't you just make the same things in this version?

Hi,juanjgon wrote:Yes, I need to test this problem again. The problem is that in Windows 8.1, while the Hub is enabled, I have a problem with the IPR window refresh. Are you working with 11.6 or with 2015?K_A_B wrote:Hi,
Thanks for new beta!
It works quite fine, but the flickering IPR is back again. (Using 64 bit Win 8.1)
I can fix the problem without problems if the user works without the Hub, but of course I know the the plugin should work with the Hub enabled.

Thank you for your fast reply.
I'm working with LW 2015.
It only affects lw 11 32bit. 64bit is ok.juanjgon wrote:Weird, I will check the 11.6 release on Monday. And the F9/F10 works without problems?geo_n wrote:Strange there's only octane.dat and octane.dll on plugins_x32 that I copy pasted to lw bin.
I updated nvidia drivers to latest and the error is gone.
But lw 11.6.3 32 bit still crashes when opening IPR as I said in previous post.
-Juanjo
Yes only IPR is causing a crash.
Haha, I found this post because I was literally about to make a suggestion thread to add pixel aspect ratio options.
Keeping one step ahead of me, definitely adds to my love for Octane!

Strangely my Octane has stopped working. I'm almost certain I have used it since downloading and installing the latest version, but now it wont run.
I get this error.
But here you can see what the Plugin version is.
I'm 100% sure I've copied the right DLL and DAT file and installed the right plugin.
Am I losing my mind?

Hmm, I re-downloaded and installed everything again and it seems to be working now. Strange

The problem with the x32 builds is fixed now. I will release a new build tomorrow with few more bugs fixed.geo_n wrote:Thanks for the update.
Getting instant crash when opening ipr even on empty scene with lw 11.6.3 32bit
No problem with lw 2015.2 64 bit

There is a quickfix release 2.22.2 of this beta, with the next bugs fixed:
- New attempt to minimize the IPR flickering problem in Windows 8.1 when the Hub is enabled.
- The render failure due to the lack of enough GPU free memory or other issues no longer crash or hangs Layout, now the rendering should abort with an error message.
- In the thin lens camera the stereo output is enabled by default to the right eye. Fixed, now the stereo mode is disabled by default.
- IPR crash in the x32 builds. Fixed.
- IES and texture file paths problem in OSX with external drives. Fixed.
Please, update to this new release to see how it works now.

Thanks, anyway the previous version is working very well, with nice improvement and bugfixes , the best one since the beginning...
I would have a little request, already asked if i remember well: do you think possible to get into IPR the VPR feature which adapts the perspective view angle to the selected camera ?
It would be very handy in many cases...
Thanks

Unfortunately IPR still keeps on flickering.
