The most import have a proper maya scene exporter to orbx standalone scene.

You can do this, you just can't have the same scene open. What I usually do is save out my render scene as a different name if I want to continue working on another section.
DOCUMENTATION
This is important - the Maya plugin documentation is really out of date - like years ago out of date. I keep having to dig through the forums and try to figure out which search term to use to figure out how something works.

Naming layers is not comfortable in some cases example - (***norm_001.tga) not possible with octane instead (***_001_norm.tga) is apear.

I would really like to have the option to output the passes to separate directories.
It would also be very nice if the pass-name was not at the end but before the framenumber in the filename. That would save me the agony of sorting and renaming the rendered sequences again and again.
