Cool thing about the side-texture, But I'm not sure how to use it. All it gives me are a "invert" parameter. In the nodegraph it shows me no inputs.

Easy to use. Use it in amount pin in a "mix texture". It will give 0 or 1 values by face orientation.

Ok.. I just updated to 2.16.1 because I had a problem with 2.06.
Now I can not render in 2.16.1.

When is this gonna be fixed?
Which version is best/stable for Win7 64 C4D R15? And where can I download it? I can only see 2.16 and 1.00 in customers area...

2.16.1 is stabile candicate.
Do you see any other criticism about stability here? Please post more info about problem to help to you.

Please don't post on several places. This makes me confused. I think you should set this default environment color as in image.
Also post images to describe better your problems. I cannot estimate what happens.

I cant render.. after restarting windows it says there is no cuda device. I also cant find and graphicscard settings in octane settings anymore. I have a gtx 780 6gb and worked with octane until today.

Hi Ahmed,

since 2.16.2 is running stable and nice one problem occurs in LiveDB: when choosing category "Misc" in Materials Cinema crashes. Other categories are fine.

Two small issues in 2.16.2 (as in older versions like 2.14 and 2.12 also)
- Scenes with Background Objekt rendering a white outline between objects and Background
- When shutting off Cinema via the cross instead of menu, it still stays open in Task Manager and can't be restarted as long as it isn't shut down in TM. This is only with Octane as plugin, without Cinema will completely close. There are different scenarios, this is always when Octane has been already used in a scene and also has rendered before.
Edit: another method to completely close Cinema is to change the layout back to a standard one. I'm using my own for Octane. Changing back to "Start" and closing Cinema with the cross icon will do also.

It would be nice if the default environment automatically disabled when a light is added to the scene, as it does in C4D. Just a thought. I have been having the two issues dinf mentions in all 2.16 releases.

Please try to add more info about crashes, versions. It's mentioned on release notes. What happens when you delete "livedb" folder?
