Are you sure some other renderer does not use the CUDA resources? VRay RT for example?..

This seems to be an issue not only affecting octane for maya (at least here on our machine running a K6000)

I will check some more configurations and make sure the driver works correct and wil come back with some more information.

Hi,

Do you know the exact version of the driver (never mind I see you're using 340.46)? I'm using Ubuntu 14.04 with 340.24 - I always download the drivers directly from the NVIDIA website and avoid those that come from the package manager. NVIDIA drivers on Linux can be problematic and some driver versions are known to cause grief.

We solved it, it seems like the nvidia driver was messed up. Completey removing and reinstalling solved this.
