Weird : Mesh Count With Mapping Coordinate
I use C4D Camera Mapping with Octane Material.
When Object Mesh Count is Low. Distorted
Simple Scene Setting
Low Count Mesh : Distort
High Count Mesh : Good

what happen if you lower the phong angle of the cube at at least 40 or below?
octane is much more sensitive to the phong angle compared to c4d,
